MUMFORD — The Genesee Country Village and Museum Education Department is offering a nature center survival skills class.
The Collect and Cook Survival Skills Class is offered Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GCV&M Nature Center.
Master Naturalist Chris Kieber and Herbalist Dave Kieber will teach the hands-on workshop on survival skills, including safe foraging techniques and proper plant preparation. Other topics will include primitive fire-making techniques and campfire cooking.
Participants must be 16 years and older, and the registration fee for the survival skills class is $35 for members of GCV&M and $40 for non-members. To purchase tickets, visit the Genesee Country Village and Museum Education Department website here.
