GENESEO — SUNY Geneseo’s Campus Auxiliary Services hosted its first ‘Restaurant Takeover’ event last night at the Letchworth Dining Complex on campus.
Local village restaurants visited the dining hall, bringing some of their unique menu items for students to try. Featured restaurants included Village Tavern, Sweet Arts Bakery, Village Cafe and The Big Tree Inn, along with Questa Lasagna from Mount Morris. The event pulled near record numbers.
“It was a huge success,” Letchworth Assistant Executive Chef Ilana Stevenson said of the event. “It was cool to get to know the local proprietors. This was one of our busiest nights, with close to a record breaking number of diners.”
The first-time event drew a large crowd of students eager to sample tastes from local eateries. The Dining Hall is open to the public daily, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
