SUNY Geneseo’s Elise Ramirez Wins 5000 Meters at Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, MA – The SUNY Geneseo Track and Fields teams sent a small crew to Medford to take on the Tufts Cupid Challenge.

The athletes posted great results at the meet ahead of the Boston Valentine Invitational this coming weekend.

“There is much excitement leading into Boston this weekend” said Assistant Coach Dan Moore. “”This is a favorite venue with a lot of competition from all Divisions, and fast times are usually the result. The team is certainly excited for the challenges that await.”

Men:

• Alfredo Mazzuca, and Alex Burks took fourth, and sixth respectively in the 5000 Meter Run.

Women:

• Elise Ramirez won the 5000 Meter run in a time of 17:18.62. She was followed by fellow Knight Kristen Homeyer, who took sixth place.
