The event featured collegiate, and professional athletes, looking to secure great marks for the remainder of the season.
Alexa Wandy won the Triple Jump, improving on her D3 leading mark. Mackenzie Ross finished eighth in the Women’s 800 meter run with a 2:10.00 performance. This moved her to third in D3. Elise Ramirez also ran a blistering 17:04.42 in the Women’s 5000 meter run to finish second in her heat.
For the men, Issac Garcia-Cassani continued to roll, running 3:42.66 in the 1500 meter run, a D3 leading time. Fellow Knight Zachary Hannahoe also put down a 21.99 200 meter run, a stellar performance.
Both teams will compete again Wednesday/Thursday at Oneonta for another last chance qualifier. Those who qualified will then put the final touches on their season for the D3 National Meet, May 25-27 in Mount Union Ohio.
