BROCKPORT –SUNY Geneseo Track and Field sent a crew to Brockport Friday afternoon for the Brockport Track and Field Invitational.
The team turned in some excellent performances, smashing school records, and taking home some wins at the Golden Eagles’ turf. The duo of Alexa Wandy and Camille Wutz continued their streak.
“The meet was outstanding for those two,” said Head Coach Chris Popovici. “Their motivation and drive to improve has never been higher. That internal commitment coupled with having a best friend matching your achievements, has led to the rapid and continued success they’re experiencing.”
Alexa Wandy came away with a win in the women’s 400 meter dash, breaking the school record.
Camille Wutz won the women’s 100 meter dash, breaking the school record in the process. Wutz also won the women’s long jump, posting the fifth best time in NCAA D3 history.
Kyle Chesterman won the Men’s 3000 meter Steeple Chase in a time of 10:05.68
