Dear campus community members,
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the unexpected passing last night of Alexandra Marie Ciarcia, Class of 2018, due to a pre-existing medical condition.
Alexandra was a 2014 graduate of Pleasantville High School in Westchester County. A communication major at Geneseo, Alexandra was president of Phi Lambda Chi sorority. She also was serving as managing editor of The Lamron, Geneseo’s student newspaper.
President Battles, on behalf of the College community, extends her deepest sympathies to Alexandra’s family, sorority sisters and friends. Supportive staff members from the Lauderdale Center for Student Health and Counseling have been alerted and are available as needed. To contact Counseling Services, please call 585-245-5716 or visit the department website.
Once we become aware of specific information on calling hours and funeral arrangements, we will notify the College community.
