The message from Robert Bonfiglio, Vice President for Student and Campus Life, is as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to inform the campus community that Samual J. Nichols, a sophomore from Latham, NY, passed away unexpectedly this morning.
Samual was a graduate of Shaker High School in Latham, NY. At Geneseo, he majored in physics and was a member of the Emmelodics a capella group.
President Battles will be reaching out to Samual’s family and I join with her in extending our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him, during this difficult time.
As we grieve together, please know that Counseling Services personnel are available for anyone who might need access to their resources. Call 585-245-5716.
We will pass along information on calling hours and funeral arrangements once the details are available. During this time of deep sorrow, I trust that we can all find solace in the bonds that connect us as community members in support of each other.”
