GENESEO — The SUNY Geneseo class off 2017 has begun school and the University community is back in full swing.
According to University officials the new class consists of 998 new freshmen, their overall high school average was 94; and a mean SAT score of1333.
“These students are not only academically strong but bring backgrounds as government leaders, talented athletes and accomplished writers and performers,” said Kris Shay, Director of Admissions in a University press release. “We are so fortunate on this campus to see such diversity.”
Geneseo’s admissions committee selected the entering class from more than 9,000 applications. Total estimated enrollment this year will be 5,560 (5390 undergraduates and 170 graduate students).
