GENESEO — SUNY Geneseo continues to build upon it’s excellent reputation at developing the best teachers in the New York State and was ranked 22nd by the Best Values School.
According to a press release from SUNY Geneseo, the University was ranked number 22 in the top 50 best value schools and noted for it’s additional training experience through the Xerox Center for Multicultural Education, devoted to developing diverse, effective teaching corps.
According to the Best Values School website the criteria were as follows:
“For this ranking, we focused first on identifying the most selective teaching programs. Starting with a list of all the colleges that offers teaching degrees, we used filters on College Navigator to tabulate only those that admit 60% of applicants or fewer and mandate minimum SAT critical reading and math scores of 500. Next, we organized these final contenders by net price, determining the 50 with the lowest overall costs of attendance. Keep in mind that “net price” is not synonymous with tuition; this value provides an approximate, comprehensive picture of cost by taking into consideration tuition, fees, room and board, average scholarship awards, financial aid, and other annual expenses.”
Best Value Schools’ mission is to provide high quality, expert information and resources for individuals considering a higher-education degree.
