ROCHESTER – The SUNY Geneseo Cross Country teams competed at the Yellow Jacket Invitational this weekend at Genesee Valley Park.
The Men took 2nd place, while the Women placed 5th.

“The runners who competed at Genesee Valley Park represent Geneseo extremely well, and showcased the depth of the team” said Head Coach Dan Moore.
“We are excited for the SUNYAC Conference Championship in two weeks, and for the continued preparation for the National Championship in five weeks.”
The Men were led by Jackson Tate, who took 7th place. He was followed closely by Justin Hoelzl (8), Lorenzo Mazzuca (13), Sam Heraghty (15), and Griffin Hess (29).
Taylor Rettig was the top runner for the Knights, placing 19th. She was followed by Olivia Bauman (24), Katherin McCormack (31), Marissa Gingello (34), and Missy Graham (44).
The teams will next compete at the SUNYAC Chapiomships, at SUNY Potsdam. The race will take place Saturday, October 28.
