GENESEO — Geneseo University Police recently issued a crime alert for students after being advised about a string of thefts from vehicles and apartments on the North side of campus.
The thefts occurred near Court Street on the north side of campus between the hours of 10 PM and 5 AM, beginning March 23 of this year. The targets for these thefts were apartments and vehicles that were left unlocked. Small electronic games and devices were reportedly taken from the apartments and vehicles.
Annamarie Centorrino, a Geneseo Junior who lives off-campus said, “Geneseo is a really small community and it’s disconcerting to think that people are stealing from students. I’ve never thought about crime occurring in Geneseo and it’s unfortunate.”
Students were reminded to lock their vehicles and residencies and to call 911 to report any suspicious activities.
