CORTLAND — The SUNY Geneseo Men’s Ice Hockey team was defeated at Cortland Friday evening in a 4-2 match.
Trevor Hills made the first goal of the game for the Knights 11:44 into the first period. The second period saw a good deal of action, as just one minute in Jack Ceglarski scored for the Ice Knights. This goal was matched by two from Cortland, made my Dan Broderick and Darren McCormick respectively. This brought the score to 2-2 going into the final period.
Nick Zappia of Cortland made the final two goals, solidifying their victory for the Red Dragons. This brought them to a 4-2 victory.
SUNY Geneseo now stands at a 4-3 record, being 3-3 in the SUNYAC Conference. SUNY Cortland moved their record to 1-4-1.
The Geneseo Ice Knights will play again Tuesday, November 25 in Oswego. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
