GENESEO— SUNY Geneseo finished 11th in the 2017-2018 Learfield Sports Director’s Cup standings.
Geneseo acquired 710 points finishing as the top-ranked public institution in the country. This is the first time in 23 years that the 700-point plateau was broken for the school.
Geneseo finished second among NCAA Division III New York colleges, trailing 10th-place Ithica.
13 Geneseo teams won SUNYAC Championships or qualified for their respective NCAA Tournament.
Points are awarded based on an institution’s NCAA Tournament or NCAA Championship finish among 30 qualifying sports. The sport that scored the highest amount of points for Geneseo was Women’s Cross Country totaling 73.5 points towards the cup.
