ELSAH, IL – The SUNY Geneseo Cross Country teams competed at the Cowbell Classic this weekend, posting incredible performances. The course will later be the site of the Divison 3 NCAA National Championships.

The Men took second place overall, while the Women took 3rd in a tough race.
“It was a very hot day, and a hilly course” said Head Coach Dan Moore.
“The teams were told to take a risk, and go out hard, and they followed the plan. We are very appreciative of the support from the administration to send us to this Pre-National meet.”
Issac Garcia-Cassani won the Men’s 8,000 meter race. He was followed by Knights Matt Jorgensen (29), Colin Kern (35), Sean McAneny (43), and Alex Burks (44).
The women’s team was led by Elise Ramirez, who finished 20th. She was followed by Allie Fernandez (22), Genny Corcoran (31), Dana Cebulski (33), and Kristen Homeyer (35).

The teams will next compete at the SUNYAC Chapiomships, at SUNY Potsdam. The race will take place Saturday, Oct. 28.
