Both teams came away with the win, and set themselves up nicely for the National Championship race next weekend.
“The mission was to do what we have been doing all season” said Head Coach Dan Moore. “Execute and perform were the instructions. Both teams are set up to do well at the National Championship, with the goal of two podium finishes, and a few All-Americans coming back to Geneseo.”
The men’s team won the meet, scoring 61 points. They were led by Issac Garcia-Cassani, who took second over the 8,000 meter course. He was followed by Alex Burks (4th), Matt Jorgensen (9th), Connor Pulvidente (17th), and John Ripa (29th).
The women also dominated their race, with Elise Ramirez leading the Knights with her second place finish. She was followed by Kristen Homeyer in fifth, Dana Cebulski in eighth, Allie Fernandez in ninth, and Genny Corcoran in seventeenth.
