A house fire at the log cabin on the corner of Gulick Road and Pine Hill Road around 11 a.m. on Sunday resulted in several fire departments being called; significant damage was done to the house in the house fire that started as a car fire.
According to firefighters, the family had just returned home in their car when they noticed smoke coming from under the hood, then fire. The fire spread to a car parked nearby, and then to the house. Both cars were destroyed, and there was significant water, fire, and smoke damage to the house. No one was injured in the fire.
Livonia, Hemlock, Springwater, Bristol, and Richmond (Honeoye) were called in to fight the fire, which spread quickly due to very dry conditions and a light wind.
Investigation is continuing.
