GENESEO – Livonia resident, MCC professor, dive instructor and local ‘mad scientist’ John Rodman took to the streets of Geneseo to safely show today’s eclipse to fascinated passerbys.
An old pair of binoculars, camera lens and rifle scope focused the image of the partially-obscured sun onto paper.
Hundreds took to the streets to get a peek at the phenomenon through paper cameras, boxes, and eclipse glasses.
Rodman is fueled by an infectious passion for observing the natural world firsthand. A physics and engineering science student himself, he is now an adjunct professor of engineering at MCC.
He encourages everyone to help others enjoy nature and science in simple, easy ways.
