The penalty falls under traffic law section 1174.a, passing a stopped school bus.
“We want to remind motorists to stop when they approach a school bus with their emergency lights on,” said Eric Osganian, Village of Geneseo Police Chief. “We want to keep our children as safe as possible and passing a stopped school bus is dangerous.”
