LIVINGSTON COUNTY – This bright and merry St. Patrick’s Day Friday, dreams came true for seven families with big ideas for craft beverage businesses in the valley.
Four businesses won Livingston County Development’s Brew IN Livingston Competition and were awarded $35,000 and a package of financial benefits: Battle Street Brewery in Dansville, Mortalis Brewing Company in Avon, Quiet Storm Brewing Company in Geneseo and Original Stump Blower Ciderworks in Lakeville. Livingston County Development is pursuing funding sources to award three more winners are working with the Livingston County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to help get their ideas off the ground and into a glass: Amber Lantern Brewing Company in Geneseo; Dublin Corners Farm Brewery in York; and Horns & Halos Craft Brewing in Caledonia.
Dublin Corners’ representatives left Friday’s festivities at the Government Center before we could get a quick interview. Their grand opening will be tomorrow, March 18, at noon at 1906 Main Street in Linwood.
Some projects like Original Stump Blowers are already operational while others like Quiet Storm are still looking for the perfect location to grow their dream business.
