LIVONIA – A German shepherd that went missing over a year ago turned up wandering the road in Livonia.
The Livingston County Coalition of Patrol Services (LCCOPS), the union for the Police Services Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office, agreed to foot the bill for Max’s plane ticket to fly home.
The running theory is that Max ran away from home in Arizona a year ago and was picked up by a neighbor, who then moved to Livingston County. He then apparently ran away again.
Max will soon depart for Arizona to be reunited with his family.
Perry Vet Group Work Leader Tonja Hynes said that the clinic is accepting donations to help pay for a large crate for him to safely fly. Checks made out to Perry Veterinary Clinic can go towards this effort with ‘Max Fund’ written on the memo line. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the clinic at 6760 Richmond Mills Road in Livonia.
