LIVINGSTON COUNTY – An outpouring of local generosity delivered piles of much-needed emergency supplies to the Livingston County Medical Reserve Corps, to later go to the residents of Puerto Rico reeling from the wrath of Hurricane Maria.
June Webster, Coordinator for Emergency Preparedness in Livingston County, said that this is an unusual effort considering that their agency usually only operates to prepare and relieve local residents.
The spirit of generosity extended far beyond simply giving disaster relief materials.
The Livingston County Highway Department donated space at their headquarters for the drive. Several Livingston County departments collected items internally and donated them to the drive.
