SUN VIDEO: Letchworth Defeats Cal-Mum for Girls Basketball LCAA Division II Title

 

CALEDONIA — The Letchworth Indians defeated the Cal-Mum Raiders 35-33 for the Livingston County Athletic Association Division II Title.

In a spectacular game Gillian Flint was able to tie the game 33-33 with a 3 point basket with :30 seconds left for the Raiders. The Julia Mertsock responded for the Indians with a bucket and :16 seconds left to win the game. The Raiders then turned the ball over on the inbounds sealing the victory for the Indians.

Mertsock led the Indians with 14 points and 14 rebounds. For the Raiders Hannah Wade had 11 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. Gill Flint added 10 points, 7 of which came in the 4th quarter.

Letchworth finishes the regular season at 19-1 and is the #1 seed in C1

Cal-Mum finishes the regular season at 16-4 and will be the #3 or #4 seed in C2.
