LIVONIA – A collision at the intersection of Main Street and Big Tree Road in the hamlet of Hemlock sent one small child to the hospital late Monday morning.
According to first responders on scene, the emergency call went out at about 10:48 a.m. reporting a two-vehicle crash with two children injured.
Livonia Deputy Fire Chief Rich Alexander was first to the scene and reported that one child had a minor laceration to the face and the other had a loose tooth. The child with the laceration was transported as a precaution.
One of the vehicles contained two cats. One ran away from the accident scene and is still sought by the family. The cat is described as a black and white adult female.
The Livonia and Hemlock fire departments responded to the scene alongside Livonia EMS, New York State Police and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
