LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The weather is warm and the county is bustling with family-friendly summer events.
July 7 marks the date of the Letchworth Luau at the Harvey Pool Complex at Highbanks Recreation Area in Letchworth State Park. On July 10, music lovers can head on over to Avon’s Tom Wahl’s Restaurant to see Ghost Riders Country Music, rain or shine, from 7:30 -10 p.m. for free. Guests should bring their own chairs.
July 13-15, the Geneseo Rotary Summer Festival & Sidewalk Sales take over Main Street, Geneseo, and Village Park (Main St. & 20A). The whole family can enjoy sidewalk sales, vendors, live entertainment, games and crafts for kids, and refreshments by local churches. On the night of July 13, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra play its Summer Spectacular with fireworks on the SUNY Geneseo athletic fields, with a rain location of the Wadsworth Auditorium. The fee is $10/$5 in advance and $12/6 at the gate. Children under 5 are free. The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Geneseo United Methodist Church, Central Presbyterian Church, David Mann Jewelers, John Chanler Agency (Geneseo, Livonia), Noreen’s Hallmark Shop, and at the door.
