GENESEO — New additions to this Saturday’s 3rd annual Strollin’ for Colon 5k run/walk will make a fun and educational event for all this weekend.
This year’s event will be held to honor cancer survivors and those who have passed from the disease. Since the event falls on Mother’s Day there will be special gifts for the first 100 moms that participate.
The event starts at 10 a.m. at the Cottone Auction house, 120 Court Street. Kevin Doran from News 8 will be the race marshall this year and there will be free tee shirts to the first 250 registrants.
A flurry of post race events are designed to draw awareness for Colon cancer awareness, education, and research.
