WYOMING COUNTY — The county Sheriff has raised suspicion into the whereabouts of Lorraine Qutermos, owner of the Castile diner that burnet to the ground early Tuesday morning.
The fire, which the cause of is currently being investigated, destroyed the Town and Village of Castile offices. Due to a water main project the water to the fire hydrants was turned off and 24 fire companies from 7 counties, including Livingston County, were called in to battle the blaze.
Officials have taken trained scent dogs to search the rubble, and there is no sign of Qutermos.
The fire, which broke out at approximately 2 a.m. initially had firefighters running into the burning building in search of any people. They were called back by the chief because of structure instability.
