At approximately 12:07 p.m., today, the State Police responded to a one vehicle – serious injury accident on the Lake Ontario State Parkway, near Manitou Beach Road.
The operator, L.H. Wannamaker-Decapu, age 20, from Rochester, was traveling eastbound and for an unknown reason, drove of the right shoulder and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to break apart. Wannamakerdecapu was taken to Strong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger, Jacqueline Rogers, age 39, from Hilton, was taken to Strong Hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers may believe wet roads and possibly speed may have contributed to the crash, but are not ruling anything out at this point.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
