NYLON – Senator Patrick Gallivan announced that he received a non-specific threat by mail on Monday.
According to a press release from Jim Ranney, Communications Director for Sen. Gallivan, their office received an envelope containing an unknown substance.
“While going through the day’s mail, our Albany office manager opened an envelope addressed to Senator Gallivan which contained an unknown substance and a non-specific threat,” said Ranney. “As a precaution, the State Police were notified and are conducting a full investigation.”
Ranney added that Sen. Gallivan was not in the office at the time of the incident and no one was injured.
Sen. Gallivan’s Albany office is open and conducting business as usual.
