On November 7, 2020, at approximately 3:49 p.m., the State Police responded to a car vs. motorcycle double fatal accident on St-Rte 5&20 and County Road 6 in the town of Geneva.
A westbound passenger vehicle attempted a left turn onto County Road 6, (Preemption Road), and turned into the path of a eastbound motorcycle with 2 occupants.
Both occupants of the motorcycle were ejected and and later pronounced dead at Geneva Hospital.
The names of the deceased individuals will not be released until the family has been notified.
The operator of the westbound passenger vehicle, was transported to Thompson Hospital for minor injuries.
That individual was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Troopers are consulting with the Ontario County District Attorney to file additional charges.
There was a third vehicle involved, that was struck by the passenger vehicle and only reported minor damage to that vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
