On September 16, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the State Police responded to 4949 Ridge Road in Williamson for a report of a stabbing at that location.
When troopers arrived, it was learned that a 19-year-old male was stabbed in the abdomen and was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
State Police located the suspect, a 17-year-old male, and subsequently took him into custody.
The 17-year-old was transported to Rochester General Hospital for evaluation.
State Police charged the 17-year-old male with Murder 2nd Degree, and Burglary 2nd Degree, after being released from Rochester General.
He was arraigned in Youth Court and remanded to the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center with no bail.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Police, and the investigation continues.
