ROCHESTER — City Mayor Thomas S. Richards is touring City streets and neighborhoods to assess physical damage to property and equipment. The City will begin assigning costs to the damages as well as for personnel related to storm activities.
“The weather has begun to clear up and all things considered, things weren’t that bad,” said Mayor Richards. “But for those who lost power or experienced property damage, this was an awful storm. We chose to evacuate due to the strong, northeasterly winds coming off Lake Ontario and we had around 1,000 residents lose power.”
The Mayor also rescinded the Local State of Emergency and Emergency Order Pursuant to Executive law 24 at 9:30 a.m. today.
