South Livonia: At age 96, Geri passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 6, 2019 at her home in South Livonia. She was born in Rochester, NY to the late Edward and Elizabeth Casaretti. Geri is predeceased by her husband; Walter E. Pearson. Survived by her three children; Brian T. Hare of Walworth, NY, Beverly A. (Robert) Allen of Pittsford, NY, Steven M. Hare of West Lafayette, IN, and her five grandchildren; Chris Hare, Scott Allen, Jeff Allen, Alissa Hare and Dave Hare.
Geri loved to make and give away lap robes; she had made hundreds of them. She gave them to church members, friends and even donated them to fun raffles at senior events. Geri was a faithful member of the South Livonia United Church of Christ, where she sang in the choir. She loved animals, and often contributed to organizations that provided shelter and recuse services. Geri was passionate for many things, from playing pitch with her friends to participating in Golden Years lunches and going to the XYZ dinners. Her love for her family is unmatched, and she will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to visit and share memories at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 3-6 PM. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date and interment will be held privately at the Oak Ridge Cemetery on Coe Road in Livonia.
