SOFTBALL: Raiders Defeat Gophers in Season Opener

CALEDONIA — The Caledonia Mumford Raiders opened the season with a sound victory over the Pavilion Gophers 19-3.

The game went five innings as Catcher Meghan Mietlicki led the Raiders going 2 for 3 with 4 RBI’s and a home run.

Gillian Flint and Makenzie Wilson each had 2 hits scored 4 runs and had 2 RBI’s for the Raiders.  Andrea Coyle went 2 for 4 and tacked on  3 additional RBI’s.

Hannah Rubinrott got the win pitching the first 4 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs
