SOFTBALL: Big Game for Crye as Avon Kicks Season Off with Win

AVON — The cold weather couldn’t keep the Braves hot bats off the ball as Avon defeated Dansville 19-5.

Joleigh Crye stuck out 12 from the circle giving up 5 runs. Crye also had a great day at the plate going 4 for 5 with 4 runs. Also for the Braves Marisa Rumfola, Emily Raynard and Ari Walker each went  2 for 4.

For Dansville Madisun Edmond went 3 for 4 and Maddy Akers went 1 for 3 scoring 2 runs.
