A smash and grab at Filer Power Sports in Macedon netted thieves $75,000-83,000 worth of dirt bikes and other equipment at a early morning heist on Tuesday, March 28.

According to police, video shows a truck was used to ram open a side door, causing damage enough for 7 people to jump out of the truck, and run in and grab the merchandise.
This is the second time in six months the dealership has been “hit” by thieves. The dealership has taken to parking trucks in front of doors for protection, installation of video, but on the night the theft happened, there was not a truck parked at the side door.
“Nor should we have to go to all this trouble every time we close. …I’m sick of it,” said the owner. He originally reported about $65,000 in power bikes early Wednesday morning, but reviewed the video and saw they came back and stole other merchandise that night too. Altogether, between this burglary and the one a few months ago, the business is out over $100,000 is missing merchandise and damages. Police are asking people to report any dirt bikes or other related merchandise being sold if the origin seems suspicious. Among the stolen dirt bikes were:

- YZ125 Monster Edition, TT-R230, TT-R 110
- Suzuki RMZ450
- Suzuki RMZ250
- Suzuki RM85 all model year 2023.
- 2022 Kayo K2 230 and Kayo KT250.
