AVON – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who had been deported in the past after pulling him over for a traffic violation on I-390 as part of Operation Safe Interstate.
According to our news partner 13WHAM, agents said that on Jan. 26, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office detained Manual Galindo-Lopez, 35 after stopping his vehicle for a traffic violation and realizing that he had a history with the U.S. Border Patrol.
Further investigation found Galindo-Lopez was from Mexico and had a fake Permanent Resident Alien Card, as well as a counterfeit Social Security card.
Galindo-Lopez already had a prior immigration violation and a DUI conviction.
He will be held without bond pending an appearance before a federal magistrate.
