Sheriff’s Office Arrest For Report of Assault

 

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on May 20, 2023, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hiram A. Gross, age 53, of Bridge Street, Corning, New York following a report of an assault in the Steuben County Jail.  It is alleged that Mr. Gross, a current inmate, struck another inmate causing injury.  Mr. Gross is charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D Felony.  Mr. Gross was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and returned to the jail.
