LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Livingston County Sheriff John York has issued a ‘No Unnecessary Travel Warning’ as a result of numerous accidents due to weather conditions.
According to a press realease numerous Town Highway Superintendents in the county have reported snow and ice covered roadways are causing hazardous conditions. Plow crews have been out working an extended period of time and have had a hard time keeping up.
The Sheriffs Department has responded to over 40 incidents involving vehicles in the last 24 hours.
According to Sheriff york the National Weather Service is reporting that another 4-7 inches is expected overnight. This warning will remain in effect until further notice.
