LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Six new Deputies were proudly sworn in to the Sheriff’s Office over the past three weeks. All of them are already putting in full time shifts at the County Jail.
Deputies Ryan Rossborough, Morganne Harrington, Kurt Uhl, Chad Eaton, Ryan O’May and Matt Templeton have now joined the ranks of the Sheriff’s Corrections Division, in the County Jail. According to the Sheriff, the hires not only fit well with regulations from the New York State Department of Corrections, but streamline activity at the jail while significantly cutting costs to taxpayers.
“I am extremely excited to have these Deputies join our team,” said Sheriff Dougherty. “I am equally excited that this change in personnel is just about an even wash for our taxpayers.”
The Sheriff added that his office was able to lower its 2015 proposed overtime budget by hundreds of thousands of dollars as a result of these hires.
“We are now operating more efficiently and effectively,” added the Sheriff, “and it is only going to get better.”
Sheriff Dougherty thanked the County Board of Supervisors and County Administrator Ian Coyle for their time, thought, and support on the matter.
