LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty has put a travel advisory in effect for all roadways on Route 20a and north to the county line. These towns include Livonia, Geneseo, Lima, Avon, York, Caledonia and Leicester.
This is not a travel ban. Sheriff Dougherty says that this only suggests that hazardous travel may be encountered and motorists should use caution.
New partner 13WHAM reports that parts of northwestern Livingston County could see up to six inches of snow before the end of the day, and southwestern Monroe County could see pockets of one to three inches.
Sheriff Dougherty says that motorists should travel within their driving abilities and be prepared for snow covered roads with white out conditions possible. Please watch for emergency vehicles and snow plows out keeping the roads safe.
