PEMBROKE — Senior attacker Ben Shepard scored the first and last goals of the game for the Golden Knights as they defeated Pembroke Monday night by a score of 5-2.
The Dragons were able to keep it close early in the game, and scored just before the first half buzzer to cut their deficit to 2-1. But York was able to pull away in the second half with goals from seniors Alex Wolfson and Will Beresford, as well as the final goal by Shepard to put the game out of reach in the 68th minute.
York (5-2-2) next plays at home against Mount Morris on Thursday.
