LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The sexually violent offender who was found hiding in a folding couch after a foot pursuit by members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and State Police is seeking a resolution to his case that would satisfy charges filed in both Dansville and the County.
Robert McLoud, 25, made a first court appearance with his attorney Hayden Dadd after the incident, and Dadd put on the record that they are seeking a global resolution.
“We enter a general denial at this point,” said Dadd. “We do believe that there is a possibility for a global resolution with Dansville.”
McLoud has a history of Sex Offender Registry Violations. He was arrested in 2014 for failing to update his email with the Sex Offender Registry.
According to the NYS Department of Corrections, McLoud spent more than 8 years starting in at Groveland Correctional Facility for two counts of Attempted Rape in the First Degree and two counts of Attempted Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, both C felonies.
According to the NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services, McLoud used threats or coercion to rape an 11 year old male and a 7 year old female, to whom he was a non-stranger.
