LIVINGSTON COUNTY — A level 3 sex offender, being held in the Livingston County Jail on a parole violation, will now face a hearing to determine the ramifications of his alleged violation.
According to a News York State Department of Corrections representative, Terry Havens, 49, was taken into custody for violating the terms of his parole. Allegedly, the self proclaimed ‘goth’ violated his curfew and was in possession of a smart phone.
The next step for Havens is preliminary hearing in they determine if further action is warranted for the violations.
Havens served over a decade for the Sodomy of a young child and was released on conditions of parole last year.
According to the Department of Corrections representative there are a few different direction Havens’s violations could go. He could be released based on his time served for his parole violation or he could return to state prison.
His max sentence for his 2013 conviction expires in August of 2021.
