SCHEDULE: Eight LCAA Teams in Play for the Coveted Block of Wood

LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Eight Livingston County Association (LCAA) Basketball teams will be participating in Section V title games.

Winning the titled and trophy is commonly referred to as the ‘block of wood’ by players and coaches as they vie to earn theirs.

York and Caledonia-Mumford will have both boys and girls competing for the Sectional title. For the boys Geneseo is the biggest cinderella story as they fought their way in was an #8 seed. For the girls York is having a cinderella season of their own earning their way in as the 5th seed.

#5 Caledonia-Mumford will face #8 Geneseo on Fri. March 3rd in Rush Henrietta at 8:45 p.m.

#1 Perry will face #3 Cuba-Rushford on Sat. March 4th in Rush Henrietta at 7:00 p.m.

BOYS BASKETBALL D1

#1 York will face #2 C.G. Finney on Sat. March 4th in Alfred University at 1 p.m.

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL B

#2 Wayland-Cohocton will face #1 Mynderse  on Sat. March 4th in Rush Henrietta at 5 p.m.

#1 Letchworth will face #2 Gananda on Sat. March 4th in Rush Henrietta at 3 p.m.

GIRLS BASKETBALL C2

#4 Caledonia-Mumford will face #2 South Seneca on Sat. March 4th in Rush Henrietta at 1 p.m.

GIRLS BASKETBALL D1

#5 York will face #3 Batavia Notre Dame on Fri. March 3rd in Letchworth at 8 p.m.
