PERRY – This Saturday come out and celebrate Perry’s Bicentennial on Main Street with a special Summer Saturday Arts Series.
Amazing Property in Lakeville! 5707 Big Tree Rd
585-503-8750
The free weekly Summer Saturday Arts Series will be featuring musical talent, Allen Hopkins. The Series will take place at the Perry Festival Plaza on Main St. in Perry from 10am to noon, along side Perry’s Farmers Market.
Hopkins’ vast repertoire of folk and traditional songs attracts market-goers, and he offers an amazing sound; he plays at least a dozen instruments. Hopkins’ talent continues, as with each song there is well-spun story to accompany it. Each song serves to entertain and inform listeners about our local history. Hopkins’ musical selections will range from American traditional to contemporary, with some Celtic reels, a bit of Klezmer music, and some bluegrass thrown in for good measure.
Over 15 farm vendors will present a variety of the best produce and homemade products summer has to offer at the Perry Farmers’ Market. The market runs from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm. Visitors will find pleasant, shaded outdoor seating in a festive downtown atmosphere. Snacks, meals and drinks are available – come out and celebrate the last licks of summer! Free Art Series runs through Saturday Sept. 7.
