Heather Lovullo, 26, was convicted of Burglary in the Third Degree in 2012 when she admitted to breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s mother’s house to take back her young son in September 2012. County Judge Robert Wiggins said that she will be allowed to serve her sentence for the felony violation in the Livingston County Jail instead of state prison so that she can hopefully continue her relationship with her son.
“I’m sorry for putting other people’s lives in danger,” said an apologetic Lovullo. “I’m sorry for failing at treatment court, and I intend to better myself while I am incarcerated.”
Assistant District Attorney Josh Tonra said that it is unfortunate that Lovello did not succeed in her drug treatment program. He said that she had a lot of resources at her disposal to succeed and many people were rooting for her, but she simply did not use them.
Judge Wiggins added that she was saying all the right things in court, and that she has been blessed with a beautiful son.
