GENESEO – A Rochester woman was arrested after trying to smuggle drugs into the County Jail.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Pamela Papp, 40, was at the jail to visit an inmate when when she allegedly left them Ocycontin pills.
Deputy Tom Schledorn, Deputy Matt Romanowski, and Corporal Jeremy Slocum were the jail deputies on duty who initially caught Papp.
After a joint investigation by jail and police services deputies, Papp was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree.
Papp was arraigned in the Village of Geneseo Court by Justice Kathleen Houston and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $5000 cash bail.
Chief Deputy Jasso Yasso, Inv. Gene Chichester, Cpl. Jeremy Slocum, Deputy Tom Schledorn, Deputy Matt Romanowski, and Deputy Mike Williams handled the case for the Sheriff’s Office.
