According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Franklin A. Gay, 39, was arrested he allegedly fled from Deputies in a motor vehicle for failing to comply with a traffic stop, in both Avon and Livonia.
Allegedly Gay fled Deputies in triple digit speeds and was later located by the Deputies after he ditched his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
Eventually Gay was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, Reckless Driving, Speeding, and numerous other traffic charges.
Gay refused to take a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content and was arraigned in the Town of Avon Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $1,500.00 Cash Bail or $3,000.00 Bond.
Deputy Brandan Flickner, Deputy Arick Perkins and Sergeant Matthew Orman handled the investigation.
