RUSH — Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum is hosting Railroad Day on June 16th.
Interactive activity will take place throughout the day, including driving railroad spikes, coupling cars together, ‘hooping up’ train orders, lantern and flag signals, and an authentic trolley ride .
The trolley ride will start at the New York Museum of Transportation and continues with a diesel powered train ride down to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.
One admission is good for entry at both museums and the train rides between them. Admission is $10 for Adults (18 and over), $8 for Seniors (65+), $8 for Children (3-15). The museums are open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum is a non-profit, all-volunteer educational organization that has been preserving the rich railroading history of Rochester and the surrounding region since 1937.
