NYLON – An employee for the City of Rochester’s 911 Center was arrested Tuesday morning by the FBI for child pornography-related charges.
According to news partner 13WHAM, Jason Cortese, 33, was arrested while on duty at the 911 Center for allegedly attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction.
Court paperwork further alleges from May 2014 to July 2014, Cortese tried to bring the minor across state or possibly international lines and also possessed and distributed child pornography.
Multiple witnesses allege Cortese contacted underage girls, one of whom was 12 years old, via text message and through smartphone messaging apps.
The City of Rochester Department of Human Resource Management will actively monitor this case as it continues to unfold and will pursue possible discipline or other appropriate action.
